16. Vestigial structures: Vestigial structures are structures that do not serve a purpose, yet are still there. The photo above is of my ear, an ear with muscles that are vestigial. In humans, these muscles have no function.
14. Long Day Plant: A long-day plant is a plant the does not need a lot of hours of darkness. These plants tend to thrive in the summer.The photo above is of lettuce, an example of a long-day plant.
13. Tropism: is a positive or negative reaction to a stimulus source. Here the plant is bending towards the sun (stimulus source).
12. Lipid: A fatty or waxy organic compound that is soluble in nonpolar solvent but not in polar solvent (water). This oil is not soluble in water.
11. glycogen: Glycogen is a polysaccharide (carbohydrate) that is stored in the liver and muscles of animals. When the time arrives, this glycogen will get converted to glucose. The grass my bunny is eating will soon become glycogen. 
10. Rhizome:An underground stem which can send out both shoots and roots (basically a root), and in this photo, there is a root.
9. Pollen: is the powdery mass of microspores shed from anthers. Here you can see in this photo above, there is a little bit of pollen.

7. Bilateral symmetry: if you were to cut something in half down the middle, and both halves would be the same. This rabbit doesn't appear to be bilateral in the picture, because she would not sit still but a rabbit is bilateral.
6. Animal that has a segmented body: A body that is broken into parts, this ant is a perfect example of a segmented body.
5. Asexual Reproduction: is a mode of reproduction by which offspring arise from a single parent, and inherit the genes of that parent only. These weeds were multiplied asexually.
4. Autotroph:producer, is an organism that produces complex organic compounds. This tree is an autotroph and produces its own food.
3. Anther & filament of stamen: Th anther contain pollen sacs. The stamen is the male organs of the plant. Here is a picture of a lily, a dead lily, but the anther and stamen are still there.
2. Adaptation of Animal: When an animal adapts to its enviorment. my new kitty! adapting to our household and finding a new comfy place to sleep.
So, you should have completed 3/4 of the book, The Hot Zone, by now. If you haven’t, then it’s time to lock yourself in your room and read. I promise you, it’s a great read!! Don’t forget: It’s a TRUE story!!
